easyJet must follow EU261 like every other airline. If your flight arrived 3 or more hours late, was cancelled less than 14 days before departure, or you were denied boarding, you can claim compensation based on the flight distance:

For delays, the arrival delay at your final destination must be 3 hours or more. Long-haul delays of 3–4 hours pay 50%.
All easyJet flights departing from or arriving in the UK are covered by UK261, and flights departing the EU by EU261.

easyJet pays €250, €400 or €600 per passenger depending on flight distance, as set by EU261. For flights under UK261, £220, £350 or £520.
How long does easyJet take to pay?
Most airlines pay within 2 to 12 weeks of receiving a complete claim. If easyJet refuses without a valid reason, we can take legal action, which takes longer but costs you nothing extra.
Can easyJet refuse because of bad weather or a technical problem?
Severe weather can exempt easyJet, but technical problems generally can't. Airlines sometimes give a reason that doesn't hold up; we check weather and air traffic data for your flight.
