Air France must follow EU261 like every other airline. If your flight arrived 3 or more hours late, was cancelled less than 14 days before departure, or you were denied boarding, you can claim compensation based on the flight distance:

For delays, the arrival delay at your final destination must be 3 hours or more. Long-haul delays of 3–4 hours pay 50%.

All Air France flights departing from or arriving in the EU, EEA and Switzerland are covered.
